Heritage Walk of Kells – 10:00 a.m. daily from Market Street. Join us for a lively 60 minute walk through the ancient streets of Kells as you learn the colourful tales of the town, its history and its people. Girley Bog Walk
Girley Bog Walk – This Bog is a site of considerable conservation significance as it comprises raised bog - a rare habitat in Europe and one that is becoming increasingly scarce and under threat in Ireland. The loop covers a variety of landscape of forest and bogland – and has been developed as an eco-walk with interpretive panels throughout. Read More.
Blackwater & Ringfort Walk
A 40 minute circular walking trail starting at the north-west corner of the Peoples Park at Loyd. Takes in Claven’s Bridge, the Blackwater River, the Waste Recycling Plant, and back uphill heading for the Spire of Loyd and the end of the walk. Read More.
